Global Horizon

The mission of our Horizon Cares Community Grant Programs is to make a positive difference in the future of our communities by supporting education, arts, economic development and community efforts that meet the housing needs of low- to moderate-income families. In addition to the growth and prosperity of our communities through economic development, these programs also help us lead the way in corporate citizenship, volunteering our time and fulfilling unmet needs of our neighbors. While we certainly see it as a service, we approach it more like a responsibility.

Horizon-Cares Charitable Grant Program will consider awarding grants of $1,000 to $20,000 or more to programs and/or organizations that are an organization described in Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. If the application requests a grant for a one-time project, the request may be for all or for part of the cost of the project. If the application requests a grant for an ongoing project, the application must request funding for all or part of the project for one year only. Programs or organizations must secure financial commitments from other reliable sources to cover ongoing financial needs in the future. Other financial resources can include government agencies, charitable organizations, self-supporting ticket sales or other options. Grants to be used for a building program can be up to 2% of the total cost of the building project. Applications for grants that would enable the requesting organization to receive matching funds are encouraged.
